Unlocking East Midlands Waterways

Welcome to British Waterways East Midlands website.

We aim to give you detailed information about the region's navigations and our work to maintain and promote them.
In the East Midlands, we are responsible for 125 miles (201 km) of river navigation and 96 miles (155 km) of canals, which include:
